i had this need to go out and be around people this weekend, so thats exactly what i did. works been so overwhelming that i needed a release. the best way to re-gather perspective is to be around friends/family.

...4am tried to wake up.
...430am drove to the city to pick up jeff.
...6-10am chicago cares serve-a-thon w/ jeff where we checked in volunteers with last names P-R. having painted for 3 years, we thought we'd mix it up a bit and be a roadie to help set-up the event instead.
...1030am co-ed softball game but our opponents forfeited. not enough girls. i rushed over to mather park for no reason.
...12-2pm tennis w/ paul and pj. twas fun. those two either a) were giggling or b) hitting the ball over the fence. whenever pj would hit the ball, paul would say "man, you really suck". oh yeah and paul ended up playing with no shirt on. nice? NICE!!!
...until 7pm cheered on the soxs to lose w/ my brother. showered and put on a skirt. we went to the dry cleaners to get a bunch of my new work pants hemmed. i treated myself to a french pedicure while i waited for my brother to finish working out. stopped by sports authority to get some new tennis grips and balls.
...7-9pm dinner w/ paul and fatima at opart thai house. great food, good times. we walked off our dinner around lincoln square. the neighborhood is lovely area. the beautiful weather had some part in it.
...after 9pm we headed over to wicker park's celebrity. i enjoyed a 40oz of old english? i dont remember the name but i chugged it like no other. fatimas a great drunk dancing partner.
...the next AM i found myself talking to a new friend and laughing the night away.

i was deliriously tired all day but i went bowling with my brother at streamwood lanes. it was nice that he came out to the burbs to visit. 93, 122, 158. the 1st two were crap because i couldnt get used to the heaviness of my old ball and i was rushing my approach. plus im so weak. my last score was average.

best game EVER last night and i couldnt get a hold of anyone to tell the good news.
me and my teammate got recruited to play on quaker's softball team.
we're in a coed 12" league and our team name is the "Schiller's"...can you guess why?

W 13-11. sweet...

i was 3 for 4. 2 doubles, 1 single. 4 RBIs. sweeter...

last sunday, my dad and i sang happy mother's day to my mom. since we were upstairs, we decided to sit in my brother's old bedroom and open her presents in there. they were probably wondering why i was so adamant on doing that. but yeah. it was nice. i wish i/we weren't growing up so fast.
