i'm a bit stressed from work. life is good, work is great, friends are awesome. i'm keeping myself busy.

last night i went to my high school orchestra concert. haven't stepped foot in streamwood high school since I graduated in 1998. ive been in contact with my hs orchestra conductor/teacher since i graduated from college. one of my "after college" goals is to learn to play the cello. ive been playing phone tag with my hs conductor for a few months so that was frustrating. drove by the hs because i was hanging with my bi-atch of a friend and the shs sign posted an upcoming orchestra concert. so i went by myself. i didnt like hs but i liked how i was back in hs -- innocent, naive, open-minded. now im just jaded but i could definitely say that im more wise now through all my experiences since then. blah blah blah...whatever...anywho: when i paid for my admission, the woman goes: "student or adult?" omFg, do i really look like a highschool student? and then i saw the dean (those tough guys that roam the halls during class to catch the "ditchers") and he remembered me and said "Hey, haven't seen you since you graduated. What was it? 2-3 years ago?" omFg.

Result of my story: I'll be contacting a fellow shs alum that played 1st chair cello -- she's now a music teacher at larkin hs and plays for the schaumburg youth orcehstra too. she was a senior when i was a freshman. during class, i would admire how she played because 1st violin section sits on the left of the conductor and cello section is on the right of the conductor -- so i was in plain view of her. she was awesome...seriously. i love watching orchestra concerts...i think i need to recruit some people to go watch the chicago symphony orchestra sometime soon. ive been playing the violin/piano since 4th grade so hopefully that will give me an advantage to playing the cello. in 4th grade i actually wanted to play the cello but my parents said that it would be too big for me and that girls shouldn't sit that way. i need to get my violin cleaned so i can start practicing again and probably pick up some classical pieces from b&n too. when i told my parents about my "cello goal" they were pretty impressed. hopefully they're proud/happy of the way i turned out. i was a big ole bitch the past 8 months, but not anymore (if you are reading this, i know what you're going to say. just don't).

that's at least one goal that i can cross off my list.

gosh darn it...my hands keep sweating...i need to get ____.

omFg...vegas baby in 2 days.
time to pull out my whore clothes for the weekend -- yes! -- because i have a bunch -- yes!
