meet & greet

at last night's illini business alumni networking event, this guy alan strikes up a convo with me and says "oh, you work for pepsico? im really good friends with steve. steve reinemund." he revealed this way after our long convo about anything and everything. but OH...MY...GOSH. steve is the president & ceo of pepsico. soon after, i found out that alan is alan feldman, ceo of midas international. i also talked to the college's dean ghosh. cool guy. n-i-f-t-y. then I talk to another alum and he is good friends with indra nooyi. indra is the president & cfo of pepsico. its was amazing and fun. i also won a business sweatshirt from the business card raffle prize. all in all, it was c-o-o-l.

im not really sure why i went to the networking event. i wasn't there to find a new job or pass on business cards or etc. i think it was the fact that it was only one block away from my office that i decided to go. i met some young alums as well as some very high-powered alums too. im actually glad that i went. and yes -- i went by myself.
