heartless...
In the night I hear 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road
He lost his soul
To a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless?
How could you be so,
Cold as the winter wind when it breeze yo
Just remember that you talking to me yo
You need to watch the way you talking to me yo
I mean after all the things that we been through
I mean after all the things we got into
And yo I know of some things that you ain't told me
And yo I did some things but that's the old me
And now you wanna get me back
And you gon' show me
So you walk around like you don't know me
You got a new friend
Well I got homies
But in the end it's still so lonely
How could you be so Dr. Evil
You're bringing out a side of me that I don't know
I decided we weren't gonna speak so why we up 3 a.m. on the phone
Why does she be so mad at me for, homie I don't know she's hot and cold
I won't stop, won't mess my groove up cause I already know how this thing goes,
You run and tell your friends that you're leavin' me
They say that they don't see what you see in me
You wait a couple months then you gon' see,
You'll never find nobody better than me
Talkin', talkin', talkin', talk,
Baby lets just knock it off
They don't know what we been through
They don't know 'bout me and you
So I got something new to see
And you just gon' keep hatin' me
And we just gon' be enemies
I know you can't believe
I could just leave it wrong
and you can't make it right
Im gon' take off tonight
In to the night...
In the night I hear 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road
He lost his soul
To a woman so heartless...
How could you be so heartless?

meat tray...
i had dinner with my parents last night @ pete miller's. i've been working so much and needed to get my perspective back on what really counts. plus, i miss my parents...and was tired of eating fast food. (:
with any new place, i'll order a main entrée thats named after the restaurant. and i'll order like it'll be my last time there. since its a steak house, im gearing up to eat a bone-in ribeye. thank my lucky stars, the menu was perfect:
my mom is a consistent diner; she'll get chicken or shrimp or a combo platter.
my dad is a steak man. dining out for a special family occassion or traveling for work, steak was what he ordered. hes decreased his red-meat intake and eats healthy now: lean meats, fish, greens. last night, he went back-and-forth with either the ribeye trio or the walleye pike. steak versus fish? that's like apples and oranges -- no comparison. my dad knew to get the fish but i also knew that he wanted a steak. kent feels that we are undecided so he tells us that hes going to bring over the meat tray. as kent went through all the cuts of meat with his little laser; i tried to prevent myself from gagging at the sight of raw meat; my mom was talking about how she loves the bread and hows she loves shrimp; my dad had made his decision. he ordered the porterhouse: 'the best of both worlds'. and he discovered the great taste of fat tire...twice.
i'm a steak girl. i try not to waver after i've already made a decision in my head because that would be an unattractive sign of weakness. a few years back, i was all about the filet mignon. then i upgraded to the prime rib. then i moved on to the new york strip. now, i'm in the ribeye phase. i love my meats but there are other fish in the sea, right? chicken don't swim.

job 38:11
sunday was a momentous day.
and i can't pinpoint the exact moment, but something changed.
"Thus far you shall come, but no farther."
my delta came.
who knew that i had the answer all along?
