what a "chill" weekend.
fri: since i had a half day, i met up with everyone at the taste. i tasted the blue cheese steak burger, harry carey chips, garlic bread and fried plantains with garlic sauce. we all just chilled on the grass -- ate and drank. afterwards, the adventurous ones went out to buzz. being a buzz virgin, i decided to take advantage of the 1-hour open bar. after a handful of mixed drinks and a few shots, abby had to go to the bathroom. too many amaretto stone sours made my tummy ache. yuck.
sat: since i didn't have enough to drink the night before
(im being sarcasm), i took advantage of the open bar at my cousin's bridal shower. oh yessssss. in the evening, my friends picked me up and we headed out to the naperville ribfest. being a ribfest virgin, i had a rib sandwich at armadillo's and corn on the cob. mmm-M! we all just chilled on the banigs -- ate and drank. (mang, this routine sort of sounds familiar). afterwards, we decided to all be adventurous and partied it up suburban-style in downtown naperville. we drank and played "screw the dealer" and some number buzz game at jimmy's world. guess who was screwed? haha. then we headed off to some other bar which had better music. on the way home, the front seat passengers decided to drive home with the top down and i thought they said with our tops off. oops. joke lang. but the girls did have the top down and i nearly froze to death.
sun: due to my consecutive days of drinking, i decided to sleep in until the early afternoon. i needed to rest up before i headed over to my cousin's place for our family bbq. i ate, played with the kids, watched them slip n slide, ate, played a little softball, ate, then we had a charmed season 1 marathon. this caliber of fun is just too much for me. :)
mon: i woke up early and my mom and i went shopping for ingredients for my cousin dinner. ill be cooking japanese cuisine this time around. hope no one dies of msg poisoning. joke lang.
tues: im tired.
