my weekend...
saturday morning/afternoon i played a double-header. it was a long, hot day but 'twas fun -- you'll see why. one of the hotties on the team (garrett) was wearing his normal uniform pants but since it was so hot, he wasn't wearing his jersey. a bunch of us weren't, but he was special (said with a lisp). instead he wore a wife beater that was hella tight on him. gawsh...i just could not stop staring. tall, white guy. athletic body, ripped arms. cute face. you can say that he's a manly man. best feature about him though is that hes nice and outgoing -- pretty funny too. the other cute guy on the team (erik) was there too and congratulated me after my rbi triple. he normally gives me high-fives but this time he caught me as i was walking back to the dugout. he was next to me and put his arm around me and gave me this sideways hug. then he gave me a high-five and held on to my hand while he put his other hand on the small of my back. mmmM! freakin' foine. shieeeeet.
the "big suck" of the double header is that we lost the second game. also, i normally only wear my cleats for one game then rest my feet, but with two games back to back, there was no time for r&r. after the second game, i knew i f-ed up my baby toes. i took off my cleats and said "hello" to two blisters on my small toes: the left one ripped right off and the right one had fresh juices in it still. yummy, right? not. yuck.
i headed back to my brother's for lunch, a shower and a popping session with my blister. i didn't really feel like seeing anthony cause i was oh-so tired so i took a nappity nap. i had to wake up a little earlier cause i noticed a few of my toe nails were turning black so i had to paint my little piggies.
the PM came around and we (archie, myra, richie, maureen) headed off to lp's barleycorn. there were a few people i didn't think i'd see but i did. it was fun, though. i love my hard cores and camel specials. cabbing over to wrigleyville was kinda bad cause i made a few drunken phone calls to some assholes that i dated before. good thing maureen stole my phone and kidnapped it for the rest of the night. after crossing the border, richie took maureen and i to his co-workers apartment party. it wasn't much of a party cause oh-so-hot jeremiah wasn't there.
the early AM came around and maureen and i met up with our friends at white castle for a little snack. it seems like i havent seen some of them in weeks. but it was cool. maureen and mike fed me well. :)
per the illustrious erasure: "i love saturdays".

i met a boy last week...sigh.
my beloved college roommate (who i love so dearly -- waink waink) accompanied me on this "hang out".
it was neat-O. we all went to bambas for lunch, strolled around lincoln park zoo, rested at wolfram, chit-chatted with my cousins, re-discovered seven treasures. then he and i talked the night away on the rooftop and ended it all off with a sausage egg mcmuffin.
he's different than the others. but...we'll see where it takes me.
we'll just wait and see.
see and wait.

the first time
the first time i wear my new white skirt i spill a blob of mustard on it. argh.
at then after work when we went to plush for myra's birthday, some of my martini was accidentally spilled on me and a beer bottle spilled onto me too. good thing the bottle was already empty.
what a day/night.

stupid boy memory #1
i was on the metra this morning and im not sure why my mind wandered to this memory but here it is:
back in highschool i had a crush on this boy. i liked him so much that i asked him to the turn-about dance or whatever the heck you want to call it and he said yes. we had such a great time that we started to hang out even more. then, stupid me scares off the boy and i tell him that i like him. even in highschool, boys were idiots. anywho...he told me that he wasn't looking for a relationship because he just got out of a very serious one (cough bullshit cough) so he just wanted to stay friends with me. i think it was a couple weeks later that he started dating one of the girls that we hung out with. (say the following with a lisp) isn't that awesome? but hey...its okay though because i wouldn't want to be married to a college-dropout-i-work-at-a-pen-store-at-the-mall-my-kids-were-born-bastards-i-live-in-my-in-law's-basement kind of of guy.
no siree bob. no thanks.
stupid boy memory #2...coming soon. you can be next...

can i whisper sweet nothings in your ear? and then spit on your face?
sigh. what a week. what a week. i'm glad tomorrow is saturday because i've been itching to play softball. since i was on vacation the past two saturdays, i missed my games. i also need to get back in the groove of practicing my cello. yey, i just found out that jz is coming into town so i can't wait to see him and share a couple beers with him. hopefully he'll bring schlafly. this morning we had a meeting with the QTG president (quaker tropicana gatorade) and he announced that we can wear jeans on fri. im soooo egg-cited. this is a huge deal because quakers have never been able to wear jeans to work and the pepsico culture doesn't really allow jeans either. so that means i can finally go shopping and buy jeans. i dont think i bought a pair of jeans since college. also, the pepsi from the vending machines are no longer $1, its been reduced to 50 cents. su-weet. an actual company store will open up where branded merchandise will be on sale. this'll be located in our main lobby which is cool. the store will show off the brand new QTG logo. guess who's getting a gatorade towel for christmas? :) im prepping myself for our bi-weekly cousin dinners and ive chosen my recipes. it'll be japanese cuisine: miso, tempura, cucumber salad, mahi mahi, seaseme rice, mochi cake. hope it tastes well. heh. lets keep rambling...besides work, social life has been a-okay. had dinner with white ed at hooters (he picked the place) and got caught up with him and his love life. :) been looking at properties and getting a reality check everyday. i haven't seen my other friends in forever and i think im going through withdrawal. on another note -- i swear to gosh -- people always come back. its cool. s'okay. i like to keep in touch, but its just weird.
