what a bleh weekend for softball...

saturday's co-ed game: defensively--played right center. threw someone out at 2nd which was satisfying. i didnt wind up and throw hard enough like i used to, but it bounced once and landed right into shortstop's mitt. offensively--batted 2nd. i was 2 for 4. gag. grounded/popped out/2 singles. i was standing on 2nd and there was a pop up to short center. i was off the bag, the ball was caught and my life flashed before my eyes. i slid back into 2nd right before short center stepped on the bag..."SAFE!". but, frick dude...i got a huge raspberry on my right upper thigh. it was puffy and bled/burned a little at first. but now? its so frickin' sore. frickin' sucks. i swear i always f' up my skin whenever im not wearing my softball spandex from highschool.

sunday's women's make-up game: two words...wet and slaughtered.

what a coincidence. great timing. "let go and focus on what you can control"? its applicable to my career but more so in my personal life. i get so stupid sometimes. im rational and logical and my cousin's husband gave me this advice before, but i just plain ole forgot. its my mantra now.

in 2 hours, we'll be leaving for our i/t outing. sweet! cant wait!

pre-game patio party for 2 hours (baseball-style dinner buffet, wine, beer and Pepsi products). then the game starts at 7 versus the cards. plus we each received $15 in comiskey cash. i wonder if ill be buying more beer with that? :)

god. what did i do last night? please forgive me. i cant believe i did that; 4 times. havent done that in a long long time...since easter. just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. eek.

woo-hoo!

i finally made it out to havoc's tues women's 12" softball game and we got our first win! 5-4. sweetness. granted, the league is 1/2way done, but tasting that first win is pretty sweet. i joined the coach for some wings and beer at our sponsor (champs) after the game.

games are @ harrer park. next weeks game is at 9 PM.

dang!!! i just looked at my schedule and the i/t group is going to the soxs/cards game next tuesday. i guess i wont get to play until the following tues. that games at 7:45 PM.

.i love softball.
