its been a pretty hectic day/week/month/year at work. we got bombarded with upcoming deliverables and due dates at this morning's team meeting. the past 3 hours have felt overwhelming. theres just not enough time in the day to get stuff done. my work environment is very busy -- overstuffed rooms, multiple people sharing a single cube space, loud conference calls, meetings taking place in the hallway. i was walking down the hallway to get some chips from the vending machine and two people were intensely talking so i couldnt walk by. i waited for them to notice that i was standing behind them and one of them said "sorry abby about that". the smallest thing can make my day and i love it! ive seen that manager so many times and never thought he knew my name. sweet.
